The CDA Pre-Professional Company is a competitive, performance dance company developed for the dancer who displays an intense desire to advance in the performing arts. Those selected for the CDA Company must exhibit the following:

 

 

• Must have strong technique, style and performance skills

 

• Must show support and respect to the studio, instructors and fellow dancers

 

• Must be self-motivated and able to self-evaluate

 

• Must have a positive attitude, sense of humor and friendly disposition.

 

• Must be able-bodied with an emphasis on living an active, healthy lifestyle

 

• Must have a supportive family that shows respect towards the director, instructors and dancers at all times

Benefits of Competition:

Competing against the finest teams allows our teachers and students the opportunity to be inspired by the talent across the country.  This is how CDA is continuously improving and evolving with the times, while challenging ourselves to grow to new heights. Competition allows dancers to perform more frequently and teaches them the importance of thriving under pressure.  The CDA Company is also required to attend 1-2 conventions per season, giving our dancers the opportunity to take class from master teachers throughout the country.  Being apart of our competitive Company helps a dancer build their confidence while simultaneously becoming a well-rounded, well-trained performer.
